The Blue Mountain Foundation for the Arts is pleased to present the third Visiting Artist Series, From Our Earth, a month of Photography and Glass Sculpture featuring the works of 6 artists.

The show runs from May 4 - May 29, 2011.

The Fotolumina group of Ursula Jorch (Earth), Joe Calleja (Water) and Felicity Somerset (Fire) explores in the abstract, the elements, Earth, Water and Fire. The associations conjured and the feelings evoked by these images are as important as their original creation.

Catherine Vamvakas Lay’s sculptures integrate glass, bronze and mixed media. She strives to connect the individual with the elemental forces of the physical and spiritual world.

Christopher McLeod's ‘Outdoor Series’ 1009/10 is a delicate synergy of photo transfers, watercolour and acrylic. They represent a simple reminder of nature’s beauty and our responsibility to our environment in Southern Ontario.

Please join us from 3 to 5 on Saturday May 7 to celebrate the launch of this exciting new show. Musical stylings by Avril Dell.
